[LEGATURA CHIGI, ca. 1650-1670]. - A fine Roman binding of the 17th-century in red morocco realized for a member of the Chigi family and attributed to the circle of the "Enigmatic binder" (active between the pontificate of Paolo V and Innocenzo XI) or to the Andreoli brothers, binders at the Vatican. Folio (370 x 230mm). Binding only, red morocco lavishly decorated in gilt with the symbols of the Chigi family, in the center the presentation to Sant'Anna and the arms of the patrons (faded), spine decorated and divided in 6 compartments (general wear).
