The car currently has an 1800 cc MGB engine which makes it more performance and usable in everyday use. The 1500 cc engine is included in the lot and needs to be overhauled The peculiarity of the color and the interior it makes a particularly interesting lot. Bodywork and interior partially improved, restored and preserved Car with ASI certificate and British Motor Industry Heritage Trust History: MG identifies the “Morris Garage” factory founded in 1922 by William Morris and Cecil Kimber for the development of the so-called "barchette" with Morris components to be used mainly in the competitive field. The main strengths were lightness, robust mechanics, reliability and essentiality. International fame was mainly due to the introduction of the MGA model. The MGA are sports cars produced by MG from 1955 to 1962. The design immediately presented itself as extremely innovative, thanks also to the introduction of a new lowered chassis that made it possible to create a more enveloping and streamlined bodywork: the side doors were "raised" almost up to the shoulders of the "driver", giving a sense of greater safety to passengers. The letter "A" from "MGA" indicates the first version of this new design concept. The first version of the MGA 1500 was officially presented in 1955 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Initially presented in a spider version with chassis with side members, steel bodywork and rear-wheel drive. The engine was a 4-cylinder in-line B series 1489cm3 derived from MG Magnette which develops 68 hp with a 4-speed gearbox. All wheels had drum brakes with the option of spoked wheels or steel rims. The rack-and-pinion steering and the front suspension are with independent wheels while at the rear, with rigid bridge, with leaf springs. Only in November 1956 was the coupe version launched featuring better interiors, descending windows and external handles on the doors. Accurate finishes and ride comfort were added, in addition to significant technical improvements, to the features seen in the previous models, so as to make it appreciated by international enthusiasts (it was the most exported British sports car in the USA). The engine was a new 1500 from BMC (the automaker that had bought the brand in the meantime) with 72 hp.
