ANONYMOUS Gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock with the subject "Au Sauvage". The scene, called "la Nourrice africaine", represents a female figure carrying a bundle of reeds with her son on her shoulder. The preparatory drawing, deposited in 1807, was made by the bronze worker Croutelle. France, early 19th century. White enamel dial with Roman numerals.
