Keshan main carpet, Motashem school, Persia, early 20th century. Knotted with wool of excellent quality and woven with the typical loom armor of this prestigious origin. The decoration reproduces the pattern of the carpet of Ardabil, preserved at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, using the colors cyclamen, blue, white, suede and beige. At one head there is a large cartouche containing an inscription in Persian characters on a white background. Another small cartouche with Persian characters on a blue background is at the top (cm 716x380) (Slight defects, small areas of wear on the pile with minimal brushstrokes of color)
