REUCHLIN, Johannes - Vocabularius breviloquus cum arte dipthongandi, punctandi, et accentuandi. Strasbourg: [Jordanus de Quedlinburg], 1501. A copy in a contemporary Augsburg binding using the Jagd-Rolle tool of Kriss shop 88 of Reuchlin's Latin dictionary, which opened the way for German humanism and the revival of Latin studies. First page of Prologue rubricated and with decorative initial A in red, with final blank (some worming, heavier at beginning and end, o1 with small marginal clean tear almost touching text, occasional small stains). Contemporary Augsburg binding in blindstamped calf (some worming and restorations, top joint splitting, without clasps). Provenance: Augustinian Monastery of Munich (early ownership inscription on title). Please note the front panel is detached
