Industrial mantel clock, "the Bollard" model. Round structure on onyx base, bronze, brass and enamel lighthouse form case. Revolving lantern inset with two timepiece dials, a thermometer and a barometer. The top contains a compass. The clock is decorated with enamel inserts. France, second half of the 19th century (h. cm 54) (minor defects)   Note: These clocks were popular in France during the second half of the 19th century. They were meant to celebrate the technological achievements of the Second Industrial Revolution.
