Amsterdam: Blaeu, ca. 1650.   The renown map of the island of Crete by Blaeu, hand-colored at the time and preserved within a frame (538 x 678mm frame).   Together with a second map of the Greek island handcoloured at the time by MERCATOR, Candia cum Insulis aliquot circa Graeciam [in the upper margin Corfu, Zante, Milos, Nicsia, Santorini and Karpathos (485 x 565mm). (Both a little browned, the second with some tears and stains). (2)
