A few of the woodcuts, including the map, were previously used in Johannes Magnus's history of the Goths and the Swedes, printed in Rome by Viotti in 1554.   Folio (272 x 192mm). Numerous woodcuts and initials including a map of Scandinavia (trimmed in the upper margin), large engraving with the author's coat of arms at the end (title reinforced at the inner margin with a small hole in the margin, repaired in the lower margin and with an erased ancient ownership inscription, some occasional wormholes and tiny wormtracks, few leaves lightly browned). 18th-century calf, spine decorated in gilt, title on red morocco label, red speckled edges (light wear at extremities and joints).
