[MILANO-CASTELLO] - 12 opere sul Castello sforzesco. Milan: 1837-1935.   An interesting collection that illustrates the history of the Castello Sforzesco and the debate on its reconstruction culminating with the inauguration of the Filarete tower in 1905. The first work in chronological order is the history of the castle by Sonzogno illustrated by a map showing the structure in 1837; also interesting are two works by Beltrami, the architect in charge of the restoration of the castle, a pamphlet for the inauguration of the main tower, dedicated to Umberto I and his historical essay on the castle, published by Hoepli in 1894, here in the luxury edition printed in 500 copies.
