Milan: 1825.   An interesting testimony of the wealth of a Milanese landowner, living in the district of S. Vito al Carrobbio no. 3897 (now Via San Vito). The register, which is striking for the editor's elegant calligraphy and excellent conservation conditions, was created on the occasion of the division of Mr. Giacomo Corbellini between his two daughters and his wife. The numerous properties located in Milan, Corbetta, Ossona and S. Stefano are listed in detail with the relative property and the possessions of the deceased: gold, silver, furniture, clothes and linen, wines, etc. In addition there is a detailed report of all the debit and credit transactions that have taken place and a copy of the testamentary dispositions; all of this allows to have an excellent knowledge not only of the properties of a Milanese family of the early 19th century but also of the patrimonial and financial administration practices of the period.   Folio (495 x 335mm). 90 numbered leaves and several unnumbered additions. Contemporary boards backed in vellum, manuscript title within cartouche on cover, speckled edges.
