Milan: 23 Gennaio 1932 - X.   An exceptional monument of Italian "pop" culture: an extraordinary uncompiled copy of the first issue and probably an example of the first edition of this very popular Italian magazine founded by Giorgio Sisini (1901-1972). The magazine, the first in Italy dedicated entirely to puzzles, was born in the footsteps of American and Austrian examples and was particularly inspired by the Viennese "Das Rätsel" from which the portrait of the actress Lupe Velez was copied in the first game that appears on the cover. The first issue came out in a circulation of 6,000 copies at a price of 50 cents of lira and soon established itself as one of the favorite pastimes of Italians, reaching up to us while maintaining almost unchanged graphics and editorial typeface. Considering the exceptional state of preservation and the typographic ink on the cover, the present copy could belong to the first edition that came out of the presses.   4to (270 x 195mm). pp.16, untouched copy, original clip on spine, ink typographic offsetting on cover (yellowed, very tiny defects to corners and spine).
