Paris: Didot le jeune, 1767.   A good copy in fine binding of this rare botanical and zoological work enriched by 729 detailed and expertly engraved plates. Plates 1 to 643 depict plants and mushrooms while the remaining illustrate animals and are accompanied at the beginning of the volumes by explanatory texts describing the specimens and their possible uses in the medical and industrial fields.   5 volumes, 8vo (217 x 140mm). Two engraved titles, 4 engraved text leaves and 729 engraved plates (plates 35-39 are bound after 106 in vol. 1, volume 5 lightly browned, otherwise a good copy).
