Ambrogio, the first truly modern banking institution of the city, which he himself established in September 1593 with the support of the Milanese governorate. Banco di S. Ambrogio immediately distinguished itself from the old family banks for a larger collection of capital open to all those who wanted to join and for innovative and securitized transaction instruments and helped the Spanish government in financing the public debt at more subsidized rates citizen. A wide-margined copy in good condition of this rare first edition.   4to (220 x 165mm). Printer's device on title (very light and almost invisible stain at margin of final leaves).
