ARISTOTELE (384 a.C. - 322 a.C.) - Logica. Libri logicorum ad archetypos recogniti [..]. Paris: in aedibus Petri Vidovei, 1546-40.   A richly illustrated Parisian edition of Aristotle's Logic in the fundamental translation of Boethius. The date 1540 is indicated on the colophon, while the title is dated 1546.   Folio (340 x 210mm). Title within typographic border, woodcut initials, many woodcut illustrations and tables, with final blank but without printer's device (some wear to inner margin of title, wormtracks and stains in the lower margin of the first gathering without loss of text, occasional worming and waterstain, paper flaw with loss of a few letters at leaf x7, browning). Modern binding that reuses parts of the original calf. Provenance: "Ad usum capucinorum Convesitus Dolani" (contemporary ownership inscription on title) - Claudius de Class? (early ownership inscription on title) - illegible ownership inscription on title - Lucien d'Ursin Antverpiensis (bookplate at endpaper) - few contemporary annotations and underlinings.
