TEDESCHI, Niccolò (1386-1445) - Secunda Panormi in secundum Decreta. Secunda pars Commentariorum [..] Nicolai de Tudeschis [..] in secundum decretalium librum [..]. Lyon: Antoine du Ry, 1527.   A 16th century Lyonese edition printed in gothic characters of the commentary by Niccolò Tedeschi on the second book of the "Decretales" by Gregory IX. The work was written from the many lessons held by the author, who was Professor of canon law in the major Italian universities.   4th volume only (of 8), folio (255 x 180mm). Title printed in red and black within woodcut border, printer's device on verso of title and at the end, woodcut initials (very tiny hole to title continuing on the following page, browning, foxing, waterstain at lower corner of first gatherings and at outer margin of the last). Contemporary vellum, manuscript title on spine and front cover (modern ties and reinforced endpapers, light rubbing and stains, restoration of a tie hole on back cover). Provenance: few contemporary underlinings and ownership inscription on title.
