Valla's renown work dedicated to Latin language became a fundamental text of Renaissance humanism.   8vo (157 x 98mm). Printer's device on title, woodcut initials (slight dampstaining, light browning and foxing). Contemporary blindstamped pigskin, red edges (light rubbing). Provenance: Andrea Fsingij D.? (contemporary ownership inscription on title) - Karl-Emich Count of Leiningen-Westerburg (bookplate by Franz von Bayros; 1866 - 1924) and another elegant bookplate at end.
