Engraved frontispiece, woodcut headpieces and initials, 25 (of 26? indicated on SBN) engraved plates, gap in numbering from page 144 to 155 due to a typographical mistake but the text is complete (tears on frontispiece and on title, faded title, restorations and adhesive tape on leaf A1 without loss of text, browned, waterstains and occasional tiny stains). Contemporary vellum reinforced with antique manuscript paper (rubbing and stains). Provenance: "dedicato alla Cucina al Cuciniere Pro Tempore" (contemporary manuscript dedication on title) - "Libro ad uso di Antonio di Cavandone", "Antonio Dedi, Amadio Da Ve? 1838" (early ownership inscription on endpaper) - a few contemporary annotations.
