FALDA, Giovanni Battista (1643-1678) - Le fontane delle ville di Frascati nel Tusculano con li loro prospetti. Parte seconda. Rome: Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi, [1691].   Second part of the famous work by Giovanni Battista Falda, trained by the printer De Rossi (1627-1691) who directed him to the art of engraving. Much of Falda's production, which was met with immediate success, was dedicated to the monuments and gardens of the Baroque Rome of Pope Alexander VII; in this work he portrayed some of the most beautiful fountains of the Tusculane Villas designed by architects such as Giacomo Della Porta (1532-1602), Giovanni Fontana (1540-1614) and the famous fountain-maker Orazio Olivieri.   Oblong folio (300 x 425mm). Second part only (of four), 18 engraved plates including title (very light browning, soiling, tiny wormhole at inner margin). Modern half calf, earlier spine, uncut (rubbing and chipping especially to extremities and spine, a few wormholes on spine).
