[MUSICA - OPERA. A precious and delightful memorabilia that collects the autograph scores of some of the greatest exponents of the Italian music scene of the 19th and 20th centuries. A signed photograph of Richard Wagner is also pasted inside.   Oblong 8vo (119 x 175mm). The book is composed of numerous papers containing 29 compositions and scores by famous Italian musicians. Among the most famous in order of appearance: Richard Wagner with a period photo signed by the author and pasted, Mercadante who dedicates the composition in three pages to Carolina Verri, Donizetti with two different compositions, Luigi Ricci who denotes his composition as "original ", Carlo Coccia with the composition Pino e Clea of no less than 11 pages, Gioachino Rossini with a score of three pages, Giuseppe Verdi with a music page dated 1869, Annibale Ponchielli with two pages written on 19 January 1874 "in Casa Ricordi".   It is curious that following the death of Carolina Verri in 1902, the book changed hands and was subsequently compiled with music in 3 pages also by Arturo Toscanini in August 1940.   (First leaf almost detached). 19th-century burgundy morocco richly decorated and titled in gilt on covers, spine, inlays and edges, yellow endpapers, preserved in a paper case (wear to the binding, spine detached, heavier wear to the case).
