The order was born for the praise and glory of God, the defense of the Catholic faith, the custody and protection of the Mediterranean Sea from the Infidels.   4to (229 x 165mm). Title engraved by Jacques Callot, woodcut initials and head-and-tail pieces (small wormtrack to the inner margin of some gatherings, some light staining and foxing, some humidity at the end). Contemporary speckled calf, gilt title and decorations on spine and covers, speckled edges (slight losses).
