[LAZIO] - CECCONI, Leonardo (ca. 1691) - Storia Di Palestrina. Ascoli: Nicola Ricci, 1756.   A fundamental work for the history of Palestrina, written by Bishop Cecconi. In this copy, after gathering b4, there is a bifolio without pagination and signature, containing the dedication of the topographic map commissioned by the author's brother and a sonnet dedicated to him.   4to (230 x 170mm). Woodcut vignette on title, woodcut initials and tail-pieces, one large folding woodcut map (tiny tear to inner margin of map, some light staining, browning and foxing). Contemporary vellum, gilt title on spine, marbled red dges (tiny wormtracks on the rear cover, slight defects).   In the same lot: CECCONI, Luigi.
