Venice: Domenico Farri, 1569.   Second edition of the Divine Comedy enriched by the notes of Lodovico Dolce after the one published in 1555 by Gabriel Giolitto de' Ferrari.   12mo (135 x 70mm). Title with woodcut border around first two words and type-ornament decoration, woodcut headpieces and initials (lacking final leaf with the register, title reinforced and stained, first gathering with some leaves reinforced at inner margin, small wormtrack at the inner margin of gatherings Y-T which touches a few letters, some leaves slightly cropped, leaf I12 slightly detached, browning and light staining). 17th-century calf, gilt decorations and title on spine, red edges (new endpapers, some wear and chips). Provenance: Guido V? (contemporary ownership inscription on title and at end) - stamp with two lions under a crown at leaves a2 and A1 - traces of stamps on title.
