The book is part of the editorial program "Piccole repubbliche" published by the Elzeviri family who brought so much prestige to the printers and enormously spread the 24° format.   24mo (106 x 53mm). Engraved title with symbol and view of Venice, woodcut initials (waterstaining to upper margin of the first leaves, B7 with some small staining touching the text without compromising legibility, some light browning). Red 17th-century morocco, elaborate gilt decorations on spine and covers, coat of arms of Fugger, gilt edges (slightly darkened spine with a tiny wormhole also present at the bottom of the front joint).
