A fascinating edition of Ovid's masterpiece, accompanied by delightful woodcut illustrations at the beginning of each book. 8vo (145 x 95mm). Printer's device on title, woodcut initials and numerous illustrations (very tiny wormtrack to the inner margin of the first leaves not touching text, some light staining, foxing and browning). 19th-century boards backed in calf with vellum corners, gilt titles and decorations on spine (light rubbing).
