Beccadelli, a compendium of it and a life of Castelvetro by Muratori, Praises and testimonies of renowned men, the catalogue of editions of the Canzoniere and other writings.   2 volumes, 4to (280 x 203mm). Half-titles, first volume with engraved frontispiece and title in red and black, engraved vignette on title, finely engraved head-and-tail pieces, printer's device at the end of the second volume, 4 engraved plates, *1 blank (very slight foxing and browning, some light soiling). Contemporary mottled calf, titles on labels and gilt decorations on spine and plates, marbled endpapers and edges (some losses at joints and at the extremities).
