Padua: Stamperia del Seminario, 1752.   First edition, fresh and with wide margins, printed on crisp paper, of this compendium of Venetian literature written by Doge Foscarini, unfortunately left unfinished due to the author's death.   Folio (382 x 255mm). Half-title, engraved vignette on title, splendid engraved headpieces and initials (without engraved portrait of the author present in the digitized copy of the National Library Vittorio Emanuele III of Naples, but which appears not to be present in any copy on the market or sold at auction, very light spotting on L2-N2). Contemporary vellum, gilt title on spine label, speckled edges (light rubbing and tiny scratches, slightly warped). Provenance: erased ownership inscriptions on title.
