Camera Apostolica, 1700.   An edition in fine binding, attributable to the Andreoli workshop and belonging to the ancient and noble Caetani family. The documented genealogy begins with the 12th-century, reporting news of the existence of different branches. Among these, the Anagni branch rapidly grew in prestige and power during the cardinalate and papacy of Benedetto Caetani who was elected Pope with the name of Boniface VIII (1294-1303). We also remember the numerous cardinals belonging to the family from the 13th-century to the 17th-century.   4to (222 x 158mm). Title with engraved vignette depicting the coats of arms of Pope Innocent XI, the Confraternity, and Cardinal Francesco Barberini, protector of the archconfraternity. Woodcut initials and headpieces (some waterstaining and foxing). Contemporary vellum richly decorated in gilt on spine and, especially, on covers with a double fillet border, floral motifs, and the grand coat of arms of the Caetani ducal family.
