LETI, Gregorio (1630-1701) - Il nipotismo di Roma. [Amsterdam: Daniel Elzevier], 1667. An elegant copy in finely decorated red morocco, once owned by the prominent Tory politician John Leveson-Gower, 1st Earl Gower (1694-1754). Woodcut decoration on title and initials (occasional small staining). Slightly later red morocco, with rich decorations and gilt titles on spine, floral motifs on covers, and arms of John Leveson-Gower on front cover, green silk endpapers, gilt edges (very slight wear, especially at joints). Provenance: The Earl Gower (arms on front cover and bookplate on front endpaper).
