Extremely curious is the intervention on the engravings depicting cherubs by the ancient owner of the volume, who in fact decided to obscure their nakedness with the pen.   4to (253 x 206mm). Engraved Trasformati emblem on title, a portrait of the dedicatee Giuseppe Maria Imbonati and a portrait of Balestrieri, an initial, 2 headpieces and 16 vignettes engraved (occasional light foxing and soiling). Contemporary marbled boards, speckled edges and endpapers (light rubbing on spine ends).
