Printer's device on title (title washed, first leaves detached, without final blank, occasional foxing and staining). 19th-century calf with title on red spine label and gilt decorations, marbled endpapers and gilt edges (some rubbing and wear to extremities and joints). Provenance: Horace Landau (bookplate; 1824-1903 banker and book collector) - elegant French annotations on front endpaper and at end - erased and illegible contemporary annotations on title (title washed) - some contemporary annotations.
