[PLANISFERO] - Mappa Mundi 1457. Portolano 1. Rome: Treccani, 2008.   A reproduction of the planisphere preserved at the National Library of Florence. Commissioned by Genoese authorities, the map was highly accurate for its time, but, being an object of decorative value, it still features mythical creatures, sea monsters, as well as legendary figures like Gog and Magog.   (795 x 395mm). Copy No. 701 of 750. Detailed colour reproduction on vellum of the original planisphere. Preserved in a canvas case, with a commentary volume. (2)
