This is Rolewinck's popular chronicle of the world, based on Eusebius and first published in 1474. Since then the work has been reprinted at regular intervals and, according to the colophon, this edition contains new material not present in previous editions.   4to (224 x 164mm). Printer's device on title, numerous woodcut illustrations and diagrams, initials (some browning and staining). Contemporary blindstamped calf (rebacked and restored, with losses and defects). Provenance: numerous contemporary annotations at the beginning and end and some in the text.
