CORNAZANO, Antonio (1429-1484) - De re militari. Venice: Melchiorre Sessa, 1526.   A 16th century edition of Cornazano's well-known third rhyme poem which was published for the first time in Venice in 1493. The work, dedicated to military art, had great success and was reprinted several times in the following years.   8vo (149 x 98mm). Elegant title within woodcut border, final leaf with printer's device on verso (title cropped at upper margin, some soiling, staining and occasional browning, a small marginal hole caused by ink at final leaf). 18th-century half calf over marbled boards, gilt title on spine, decorated edges (minor rubbing).
