Caprées: Sabellius [i.e. Nancy, Le Clerc], 1782.   An erotic work published anonymously with the same fictitious details as the original from 1780 and illustrated with numerous erotic engravings of the "spintrian genre," likely stemming directly from the imagination of d'Hancarville.   8vo (210 x 130mm). Engraved frontispiece, title within an engraved woodcut border, woodcut decorations and 50 engraved plates, printed on blue paper (frontispiece and title with significant marginal restoration, first few pages shorter at the outer margin, some restored marginal tears, G1-2 with partially restored holes touching some letters, some discoloration at the upper corner of the final leaves). Contemporary calf, titles and gilt decorations on spine (some wear especially to spine and joints). It was not possible to find a collation, our copy is as follows: a-N8, O4(-O4).
