First edition of Combe's poem, born from the collaboration with the caricaturist Rowlandson, whose contemporary coloured plates extensively illustrate the text. 4to (230 x 140mm). Engraved frontispiece, 23 other hand-coloured lithographs (browning, occasional soiling). Contemporary russia with gilt decorations on covers, gilt decorations and title on spine label, marbled endpapers (rebacked, later endpapers, light wear). Provenance: erased contemporary annotations on verso of frontispiece.
