[LIBRI PER BAMBINI] - RATALANGA (pseudonimo di Fabio SERTI o Gabriele GALANTARA; 1867-1937) - Il Disegno per i piccoli. [Milan: s.e., inizio XX secolo].   An interesting print test with original watercolours. In the printed instructions it explains that the student's task was to copy, with maximum accuracy, the original in black and then the one in colour.. "as you will see, many of our drawings lend themselves to being reproduced to make embroidery work for cushions, panneaux, etc.". The designer, Ratalanga, created together with his friend Guido Podrecca (1865-1923) the "Bonomia ridet" in which he debuted as a caricaturist revealing exceptional talents. Together again they collaborated for the "Asino" for which he drew his most biting and most polemical plates. He also collaborated with "Wahre Jacob", "Humor" and many other Italian and foreign humorous and political newspapers. With Alberto Giannini he founded the "Becco Giallo". He then moved on to the "Marc'Aurelio" starting here to sign himself with the pseudonym of Ratalanga and performing his renowned and critical caricatures of the P.N.F. and Mussolini.   Folio (333 x 249mm). An unnumbered page which contains a note from the publishers and the instructions for use, 24 watercoloured plates and 6 plates left blank, a pocket containing 13 cards still to be filled in (minimal defects). Editorial grey cloth with the illustration of a rooster (minimal wear and stains, without a tie).
