[BINDING] - Officium Beatae Mariae Virginis. Venice: Balleoni, 1754.   A fine red morocco binding with splendid decorated edges, elegant gilt endpapers and illustrious provenance. The volume was first donated by Baldovino Gaetano to his brother as proved by the ownership inscription and the coat of arms of the German Brentano family and the Roman Gaetano family; finally it was part of the Ernst Kyriss collection.   8vo (193 x 118mm). Title with engraved vignette, engraved full-page illustrations. Red morocco elaborately decorated on covers and spine with floral motifs, Brentano-Gaetano family coat of arms at center, gilt edges with floral decorations (minimal rubbing at extremities). Provenance: commissioned by Baldovino Gaetano as a gift to his brother (note in the margin of the first plate) - Brentano family (arms) - Ernst Kyriss (1881-1974; historian of bookbinding).
