RAINERIUS DE PISIS (m.1351) - Pantheologia, sive Summa universae theologiae. Venice: Hermannus Liechtenstein, 1486.   A copy with an illuminated initial of this only incunabula edition printed in Italy and published for the first time in Nuremberg in 1473. The first five of the six editions of the 15th century were in fact all printed in Germany, although the Dominican Rainerius de Pisis was Italian. Hermann Liechtenstein was a printer originally from Cologne active in Vicenza, Treviso and finally in Venice, where he printed until 1494. The over 1200 pages contained in the work analyze in alphabetical order themes of theological and philosophical interest such as friendship, love, angels, soul , baptism, blessedness, the beautiful, the good, marital intercourse, divination, eucharist, faith, luck, joy, free will, miracles, Our Father, sin, penance, predestination, prophecies, religion, priests, will, zeal and more.   2 volumes, (294 x 205mm). Illuminated initial at the beginning of the prologue in the first volume (a1 detached in volume 1, traces of adhesive tape on some leaves, some soiling and waterstaining, occasional foxing and some other stains, some small wormholes in the margin at the beginning and end of the volumes). Antique vellum which also reuses manuscript cuttings from the 14th century, manuscript title on spine (bindings mostly separated from the textblock, some worming and staining, some small losses).
