Manufacture of Rimini, second half of the 16th century, probably Garella workshop. Majolica cup painted in polychrome depicting the Gauls who complain to Caesar of the ferocity of Ariovisto (d 23 cm) (restorations)   The decoration of this majolica cup is freely inspired by a model made by the Fontana in Urbino for the Spanish Credenza, on designs provided by the Zuccari, and taken from both the Patanazzi and other workshops.   For comparison see: R. Gresta, O. Delucca, The ceramics in Rimini in the sixteenth century. Majolica and istoriate archive documents, Rimini, 2020. C. Acidini Luchinat, Taddeo and Federico Zuccari, Rome, 1999, vol.
