SANQUIRICO, Alessandro (1777-1849) - Incoronazione di S.M.I.R.A. Ferdinando I a Re del Regno Lombardo-Veneto. [Milan: Pirola, 1838].   An elegant copy of the first edition of this rich documentation which depicts the different phases of the coronation: the delivery of the keys to the city, the very rich external and internal decorations of the Cathedral, the sumptuous banquet in the Caryatids room of the Royal Palace with the arrangement of all city authorities and all other details of the celebrations. The fascinating plates, including many aquatints, were made by Camera, Campi, Cassina and Falckeisen from original drawings by Alessandro Sanquirico, renowned set designer of the Teatro alla Scala.   Oblong folio (370 x 455mm). Frontispiece with the portrait of Ferdinand I, engraved title, 41 numbered plates of which 7 in aquatint (foxing).
