Mold-formed majolica, hand-painted under glaze, with dark brown ground and figure of “Philosopher” and classical female sculpture in ochre and white outlined in black. Vase form no. 389, decoration no. 330E. Inscribed in black below base “Richard Ginori” with crown monogram, numerals “M389/330E,” and signature “Gio Ponti”. (d 46 cm.)
