A catalogue characterised by historically and artistically important items, as well as a rich exhibition curricula engage the many bidders in attendance, on the phones and online. The protagonists are the vase by Ercole Barovier and Art Nouveau luminaries signed by Tiffany Studios, the refined folding screen by Alphonse Mucha and the sculpture by René Lalique. Disputed in a quest between art and design, the creations by Nanda Vigo, Ettore Sottsass and Archizoom Associati attract the collectors attention, together with the provocative counterbalance to the historic Italian design of BBPR, Franco Albini, Gae Aulenti, Osvaldo Borsani, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Gino Sarfatti and Carlo Scarpa with a particular emphasis on drawings.
