The Jewelry sector experienced unstoppable growth, surpassing € 9.3 million in revenue in 2024, marking an extraordinary year. A Colombian emerald of 35.27 carats, sold for over € 1.6 million, set a new sales record not only for the department but for the entire auction house. Excellent performances were also recorded for Marina B’s 14.67-carat diamond ring (€ 302,400) and some exquisite Bulgari pieces from the 1960s, including a bracelet (€ 252,000) and two brooches (€ 220,500), set with diamonds and Burmese rubies.

A renewed momentum for the Antiques sector, with a revenue of over € 6.3 million, further distinguished by excellent consignments in the second half of the year, such as the Melissa Gabardi-Minervino Collection, filled with unique treasures: the enchanting 16th-century travel chest (€ 94,500) and the refined amber cup (€ 80,640). Among the most significant successes, a Russian icon, “Saint George and the Dragon,” crafted by the court silversmith Pavel Ovchinnikov, was the top lot of the department at € 226,800, representing an outstanding result for the sector. Other highlights included the “Portrait of Bartolomeo Concini,” attributed to a follower of Agnolo Bronzino (€ 69,300) and the lively painting by Alessandro Magnasco, “Drummer Training a Monkey” (€ 63,000).

The 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures department had a steady rise, establishing itself as a national reference with total revenue exceeding € 2 million. The peak came in December’s auction with the sale of Giuseppe De Nittis’ masterpiece “Sulla strada di Castellammare,” sold for € 378,000, accompanied by two evocative works by Giacinto Gigante: “View from La Marinella” (€ 69,300) and “Naples, a procession at Mergellina” (€ 44,100).
The 20th Century Decorative Arts and Design department showed stability with an annual result surpassing € 2,2 million. The focus was on works by great Italian designers such as Osvaldo Borsani, whose table, made in collaboration with Lucio Fontana, reached € 75,600, and on historically significant pieces like Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh’s “The Annunciation” panel, which sold for € 176,400, confirming its appeal to international clients.
