The Asian Works of Art auction on 30th October 2024 will present around 180 lots, carefully selected over several months. The collection includes high-quality jades, hardstones, porcelains, bronzes, corals, and finely carved ivories, all of high quality, previously unseen and from private collections.


Showcasing the incredible Asian artistry is a nucleus of jade artefacts of rare importance, with pieces of shapes and sizes that are difficult to find in Italian collections, 

such as the majestic 18th-19th century moon-flask with lid (lot 2084, € 15,000 - 20,000), the elegant white jade vase with Mughal-style lid (lot 2104, € 8,000 - 10,000) and the refined Champion vase in spiny green jade (lot 2151, € 8,000 - 10,000).





Lot 2084
A large moon flask white jade with cover, finely carved
with a central lotus flower surrounded by the eight buddhist emblems.
China, Qing dynasty, 18th-19th century (h. cm 32).

A finely decorated Mughal style white jade vase.

Lot 2151
A spinach green jade Champion Vase finely sculpted in an archaic style,
with two cylindrical vases decorated with hanging blades and archaic motifs,
the two cylinders joined by an eagle with spread wings resting on a crouching bear,
bearing the Fang gu mark on the bottom, with wooden base.
China, Qing dynasty, 18th-19th century (h. 19 cm).

In the section dedicated to animal figures, an elegant Ming dynasty horse (1368-1644) stands out (lot 2141, € 3,300 - 3,500), as well as a finely carved bird, with intricately incised feathers, dating to the 18th-19th century (lot 2144, € 2,200 - 2,400).

The catalogue is also enriched by a selection of corals from the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912), characterised by fine workmanship and a notable presence of female figures, including an elegantly dressed figure (lot 2024, € 3,000 - 3,300), a sculptural group depicting two women in complicity (lot 2073, € 1,400 - 1,600) and a delicate group with a female figure and a kneeling child (lot 2145, € 1,600 - 1,800).








Lot 2141
A celadon and russet mottled jade carving of a horse,
the animal modelled with its head raised and turned backwards,
the horse is naturalistically carved with taut muscles,
the mane and the tail elegantly carved. China, late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

Lot 2144
A pale green and russet jade carving of bird with finely incised feathers,
clasping an auspicious branch of lingzhi in its beak, the underside with its feet neatly tucked beneath its body.
China, Qing dynasty, 18th-19th century (L. cm 7,5).

Lot 2024
A coral group of a female figure and a child (g net 658) (h. cm 28) with wood base.

Among the porcelains, particularly remarkable is a hu vase with puce glaze from the 18th-19th century, decorated with a dragon motif (lot 2063, € 8,000 - 10,000). Also of interest is a large potiche with lid from the Kangxi period (lot 2047, € 4,000 - 5,000), together with two yellow sgraffiato vases from the Republic period, decorated with Famille Rose porcelain (lot 2136, € 3,000 - 3,300).

A puce dragon-hu shaped porcelain vase with Qianlong mark under the base.
China, Qing dynasty, 18th-19th century (h. cm 48), with a wood base.

Lot 2047
A large blue and white porcelain vase with cover decorated with large shaped
lappets of flowering peony and scrolling foliage, reserved on a blue ground,
the cover similarly decorated with a gilded handle, on a wood base.
China, Qing dynasty Kangxi period (1662-1722) (h. cm 77).

Lot 2136
Two yellow sgraffiato porcelain vases decorated with
oval crutches with Famille Rose floral motives.

Finally, in the bronzes section, there are several valuable pieces from 18th century Tibet, including a fragment of a Torana depicting Vajrapani (lot 2028, €4,000 - 5,000) and a seated Lama on a cushion, inviting contemplative meditation (lot 2092, €3,000 - 4,000).
