At a time when the magnetic allure of Leonor Fini is more in the spotlight than ever, the Millon Auction Group presents a selection of the artist’s works at auction in Paris on March 25, 2025.

This event follows in the wake of the major retrospective "Io sono LEONOR FINI", currently on display at Palazzo Reale in Milan.

Milan and Paris: two cities that have left an indelible mark on Leonor Fini’s artistic journey.
In March 2022, Il Ponte Casa d’Aste brought to light several masterpieces by the artist in an auction dedicated to Valentina Cortese, achieving extraordinary results.

It is now the turn of Paris, which with the Millon Auction Group offers collectors a special selection of works.

Paris was where Leonor Fini’s artistic vision took shape, imbued with cosmopolitan influences. In the heart of the French capital, where she arrived in the 1930s, Fini immersed herself in a vibrant intellectual circle, forging connections with the boldest voices of Surrealism while maintaining a fiercely independent style. It is only natural that the city that shaped her identity should now host this remarkable collection.

Lot 133
Leonor Fini, L'Orientale, oil on canvas, 43,5 x 38 cm.
Estimate € 28,000 - 30,000

A selection of watercolors, oils, and drawings unveils to the public the fascination of one of the greatest artists of the last century. "Portrait féminin" (1941, € 50,000 - 60,000) showcases her ability to capture the intensity and mystery of a gaze—like many of her portraits, it is distinguished by a magnetic presence where emotions remain elusive. "L’Orientale" (€ 28,000 - 30,000) evokes a refined fusion of exotic influences and dreamlike atmospheres, while "Passager" (1989, € 30,000 - 32,000) translates the artist’s fascination with metamorphosis, recalling the mythological iconography of Medusa.
