The month of September confirmed the market's important recovery which had already recorded during the first semester
the Stamp department fits perfectly into this trend, closing the sale held on the 22nd of September with a record result of € 540,000, 87% of lots sold and 140% increase by value. Already in a leading position on the national market, the Stamp department proposed in its catalogue important collections enhanced by rare and sought-after goods, as shown by the interest in the vast collection of the Old Italian States, some specimens of which originated from the "Alphonse Rothschild" and the "Principe Doria Pamphilj" collections. The highlights among the awards were the rare green 6 baj of the Romagne on letter (€ 22,500), and the impressive increments of several lots from Sicily, as was the case of the franked letter with seven specimens of the 2 grana estimated € 1,000 - 1,500 and sold for € 5,625 (rights included).
