Founded in 1928, MILLON has become the leading independent auction house in France, with total sales amounting to €94 million in 2023, marking a 200% increase compared to 2020. As part of an ambitious development strategy focused on organic and external growth, aiming to bring the passion for auctions to as many people as possible, the Group announced a 3% profit increase for the first half of 2024, despite an international market contraction of 34%.
In the summer of 2024, MILLON acquired Il Ponte Casa d’Aste, whose combined turnover in 2023 amounted to €130 million, thus creating a new independent European leader in the auction market, with growth prospects of 70% over the next five years. For the first time in the history of the Italian market, a prestigious auction house has joined an international group, MAG (Millon Auction Group), while preserving the territorial identity and excellence that have made it a benchmark in the sector.
On the eve of MILLON's centenary, its president Alexandre Millon has, over the past twenty years, transformed the company once managed by his father, a former president of Drouot, into a hub of innovation, encouraging sellers to reach as many potential buyers as possible. Today, MILLON includes four major auction houses in France, Belgium, Vietnam, and now Italy, with appraisal offices in 35 cities worldwide and its digital platform, millon.com, the second most-used in France with a traffic share of 22.8%.
