Paris: ex officina Roberto Stephani, 1538.   Part of Cicero's work in a copy enriched by fascinating and elegant annotations by a contemporary hand, especially in the chapter dedicated to Cicero's De Officis on pp. 341-420 in the part dedicated to Philosophica and with other annotations and underlining in the text.   3 parts of the Opera in one volume, folio (385 x 258mm). Large printer's device on titles of each of the three parts, list of the works of each part printed on verso, woodcut initials, with final blank (occasional dampstaining heavier at beginning with mold stains, some tears and printer erased by burn stain on title). Contemporary blinstamped calf (somewhat worn and rubbed). Provenance: F. Joannes Trecer (elegant ownership inscription on title) - AB (bookplate).
