It is also one of the last volumes published in Venice by Stagnino. The first (1531) and second (1534) libro degli amori by Tasso are also rare, but have sometimes appeared on the market.   8vo (143 x 90mm). A1v with dedication to Mrs. Hippolita Pallavicina de Sanseverini, G4r with "Favola di Leandro et d'Hero di Bernardo Tasso" (some minimal staining and foxing, tiny wormholes in the upper corner, C4- C5 lightly short at the outer margin). Modern red morocco, blue edges.
