PONTI Giovanni, detto GIO (1891-1979) - Cospiscuo insieme di 35 lettere autografe, cartoline e frammenti di scritti, del grande architetto e designer milanese Gio Ponti. 1944-1952.   A fascinating collection, mostly on letterhead "Gio Ponti Architect", addressed to the "amica perfetta" Violetta Besesti, confidant and witness of Ponti's activity in his period of greatest creativity.   In addition to sketches, drawings, and playful messages, the correspondence often focuses on Ponti's literary interests. However, these were also the years of WW2, which emerges strongly in the correspondence. The collection also contains the manuscript of the article "In Assisi", published in 1943 on the magazine "Stile".
